Cool Splash! Festival, Germany, 2008.

A-MAZ-ING.

England (I'm talking event organisers, atleast) does not respect hip-hop enough to hold events of this magnitude.

Theory, they used an almost identical "b-boys" logo for their b-boys comp., you anything to do with that?

Dead Prez were my personal highlight as I'm a big fan and enjoyed even their modest 45+ minutes.

Ice Cube was interesting to see. Conflicted here as alot of his stuff I disagree strongly with although the music and non-offensive material was sick.

Jay-z ripped it. Pretty much the Glastonbury set but without the Oasis beef. That new verse is dope, he dropped it twice, there, too.

Loop Troop - jesus they are quality. Need to get all their albums.

M.O.P. were hilariously angry and mashed out properly. We coined the remix - "Smack Ja Rule, Kidnap Ja Rule.. GET-'IM, GET'IM, GET'IM.. HIT'IM, HIT'IM, HIT'IM".. HAHAHA

Saigon made a good performance, alot of his stuff new to me. Will listen more.

Kool Savas, from what I remember, was decent (alot of their fans there).

Dynamite Deluxe murdered their set, not much of a clue to their content as it was in German but they flowed the fuck out.

Little Brother was all good. Need to refresh my memory of their performance. Wasted for four days straight off my face.

J-Live killed it dead. Have footage of him, and some others.

Swollen Members (heads up to maxi for putting me on to these years ago!) did their thing.. mostly a blur, though.

Caught The Cool Kids.. the verdict's out here.. I didn't see/hear much (bad sounding) although their covers of 10+ classics were quite enjoyable.

Shaggy was suprisingly fun to dance to. New respect for his cheesy music.

I missed D.I.T.C. in order to see a German MC freestyling for maybe 25+ minutes to an audience of 50ish. When I eventually got there they'd finished But all-in-all I think I did pretty good to see everyone I saw in the limited time frame.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FESTIVAL.

PS - Pretty much English weather the whole time. Messy.
