"He's just under alot of stress."
Is what she says after she wipes the blood from her busted lip Then grips the side of her Christion Dior shades Hiding her black eye from a world of outsiders looking in Ready and willing to tell her what a fool she's been For letting this man put his hands on her time and time again. "But I love him too much" Is the explanation that constantly flows from her mouth Not thinking of the pain she endures every time he lashes out And she's in too deep to leave So she cries to release the pain within Not realizing as long as she stays with him, the pain will never cease. "He said he won't do it again" Is the response she gives after she's been showered With House of Dereon, Gucci, and Prada It's as though the black eyes, busted lips, and scars don't bother Cause he's apologized a thousand times and claims "I'll never hit you again" That's when she falls back into that same game Where she ALWAYS loses and he heartlessly wins And yet, he does it again and this time... "It MY fault" She begins to blame herself for his foul actions Lacking the sense to see... That he only does it because he's too scared to hit a "REAL" man So she's the one he takes his frustrations out on After all, she's been blinded by love Believing she's the reason for all his problems As she searches for ways to solve them Not once, stumbling across the truth That he's the problem and leaving is the only way she'll ever solve it Until REALITY sets in... That she is worth more respect that he's giving And that life is more important that any love a man can pretend to give So she pours what emotions she has left into a conversation long overdue Even though she knew that the abuse was soon after she said her peace, And life as she knew it would be over after she was cruelly beat As she sees life replaying back in her mind She wishes she wouldn't have given so many feeble alibis To cover the pain and sorrow she's been with holding for years Drowning herself in a pool of shameful tears She had fallen too deep in love to escape Only love he ever showed was the scars left on her face As blood splatters from place to place From her face to his knuckles to the wall and on the floor The kiss of the death is laid on her cheek Softly, she speaks her final three words "I LOVE YOU" As her eyes roll to the back her head Her cold body lays in a pool of feeble alibis DEAD. |
